Collaboration

VET SMILES mission is made possible through the help of generous donors and strategic partnerships with key organizations and businesses throughout North Carolina. These partnerships help us to expand our reach in order to assist all at-risk veterans in need of dental care throughout the state.

Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) is a national charitable organization whose mission is to improve the oral health of people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile and have no other way to get help. DLN accomplishes its mission by developing and coordinating collaborative relationships that provide essential resources for direct-service programs, especially charitable care.

Through our flagship program, Donated Dental Services (DDS), dental care is provided through a national network of over 15,000 volunteer dentists and 3,400 volunteer laboratories. Dental Lifeline Network has 60 staff members. Many, located throughout the United States, serve as Program Coordinators who work with these volunteers, linking them with patients in need of care.

We also sponsor a program “Will You See One Vet?” for dentists interested in helping one veteran who might be a neighbor.

Stop Gap for Heroes

Our mission is to aid Veterans, who are our heroes, in successful integration into their community. We do this by providing relevant educational interventions, quality services, strong support, community-based connections, resources, and outreach that combat isolation. We serve our heroes, as they served us. We are a liaison, advocate, and resource within the community and beyond.

Our mission is to fill the gaps for our heroes. We not only provided needed services in the community, but also coordinate and collaborate with other Veteran, and community organizations to provide the best service to our heroes.

Please contact davide@vetsmiles.org for further information.
